Start the morning with New York Heritage updates and learn about planned improvements to New York Heritage and our participation in the Digital Public Library for the upcoming year.
We will then move on to everyone's favorite part of these meetings - hearing from your colleagues. Jim Gandy
, Librarian & Archivist, at the New York State Military Museum
, and Josh Hauck-Whealton
, Archivist at the Dudley Observatory
, will speak on how they decided on which items to digitize for New York Heritage.
Next, Terry Pavoldi
, Director at the Middleburgh Library
and Bobbi Ryan
, Director at Middleburgh's hidden gem, the Historic Doctor Best House and Medical Exhibit
, will be sharing a bit of their story while asking for input from meeting participants on where to begin with digitizing their wonderful but overwhelming collection of material.
All three libraries received CDLC's RBDB grants to help finance their digitization, so they will touch on how that program affected their digitization.
After the formal program, all are welcome to join us for a light lunch. CDLC staff, including the ever-popular Ilka Morse
, will be available all afternoon for questions and one-on-one help with CONTENTdm. Please help us plan by registering for this event by Tuesday, July, 14th.
This meeting is aimed at current New York Heritage participants, however, others are invited to attend as space allows. There is no cost for this event.
As always, if you register and are unable to attend, please contact Susan D'Entremont at
